Obverse description Central field displays a multi-line Arabic legend within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a decorative beaded or rope-pattern border. The inscription, executed in a bold Naskh/Tughra style, occupies the majority of the flan and includes the royal titles and name of the sultan. The legends are arranged in horizontal registers filling the entire inner circle. The outer marginal legend runs continuously around the periphery between the inner circle and the beaded rim.
