Reverse description A sinuous five-clawed imperial dragon is depicted in high relief at the centre of the field, curling around a flaming pearl. The dragon faces forward with an open mouth and prominent antlers, rendered in the classic Qing dynasty style. Additional information

This piece is not a genuine provincial issue but a fantasy strike — a coin that never existed in official circulation and was produced to satisfy collector demand, likely in the early-to-mid twentieth century. Sinkiang (Xinjiang) did operate genuine mints under Guangxu, producing taels of erratic weight and variable alloy, but no authenticated "Sungarei" tael of this type appears in the historical mint record. "Sungarei" references the Zungarian basin in northern Xinjiang, a geographically plausible but historically unattested attribution for a provincial tael mint.

The X# prefix in Krause confirms its fantasy classification.
