| Obverse description | Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Anastasius I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial tradition. The effigy is executed in low relief typical of Burgundian imitative coinage, with stylized facial features characteristic of the period. The bust is surrounded by a Latin legend reading D N ANASTA - SIVS P AVC, invoking the emperor's titles. The overall style reflects Burgundian adaptation of Byzantine prototypes, with some degeneration of the original Eastern imperial imagery. |

| Reverse description | Winged Victory striding right, holding a wreath aloft in the right hand, with a royal or mint monogram positioned in the left field before the figure. The Victory type is derived from the Byzantine solidus and tremissis tradition, adapted here by Burgundian die engravers with characteristic stylistic simplification. The reverse legend VICTORA ACVTORM S IND G CONOB encircles the central type, representing a degraded rendering of the standard Byzantine VICTORIA AVGGG formula with the CONOB mint mark indicating a notional reference to Constantinople gold standard. The exergue and field show the flat, compact fabric typical of hammered Merovingian-period imitative tremisses. |
