A crescent moon is positioned at the centre of the Srivatsa motif. The entire design is enclosed within a plain raised circular border, the flan showing characteristic hammered irregularity. The Srivatsa is a prominent auspicious emblem widely employed on Mon coinage of this period as a mark of royal and religious authority. |
