Banknotedesigns is a one-man operation run by Mauro Aurelio, a Swiss-based designer who produces privately issued fantasy notes — not legal tender, not intended to circulate, and not affiliated with any government or central bank. Gammaprint in Luzern handled the physical production. The "10 000 Dollar" denomination is essentially decorative fiction; the issuing authority exists only as a design brand.
Collector interest in this category tends to be narrow but loyal — fantasy and artist-issued notes occupy a legitimate if contested corner of notaphily, and Aurelio's work is among the more professionally executed examples of the genre.
