The bank name BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO curves around the upper oval border in large display lettering, with ULTRAMARINO continuing along the lower arc; the numeral denomination 10$000 Rs. appears within a decorative cartouche at the foot of the central device. Stylised floral and foliate corner ornaments with coffee-plant sprays fill the four corners, and the numeral 10 is repeated in each side margin. |
