This note is a standard circulating 10 Baht from the fourth series, distinguished solely by a commemorative overprint applied to mark the 1969 celebrations of the 72nd birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's mother, Princess Srinagarindra — a numerologically significant age in Thai tradition, representing the completion of twelve full sixty-year cycles. The overprint was applied to notes already prepared for general issue rather than to a separately printed commemorative run.
Thomas De La Rue had supplied Thai banknotes since the 1950s, and the base printing relationship was well established by this point. Pick 81 is frequently encountered without the overprint, making correct attribution a straightforward authentication concern for this type.
