Reverse description The denomination 10 CENTAVOS is displayed in two lines at the centre of the field, with the numeral '10' in a larger font above the word 'CENTAVOS'. The date appears below the denomination. The entire central device is encircled by an open laurel wreath, tied at the base with a ribbon. At the foot of the wreath, a crossed miner's hammer and pick are depicted, symbolising Chilean industry and labour. The Santiago mint mark 'S' appears above the denomination at the top of the wreath opening. A beaded border runs along the rim.
