Obverse description Brown on multicolour underprint. An oval intaglio vignette at right bears a bust portrait of Liberty facing left, draped and veiled. The large numeral '10' is set within an elaborate guilloche panel at centre, above the denomination legend 'VALE POR DIEZ CÓRDOBAS'. The series date 'SERIE DE 1951' appears vertically on both sides, with two red serial numbers printed across the upper field and three signature lines at the bottom.

In accordance with the Decree-Law of October 26, 1940 and the Law of August 4, 1941, and under the conditions prescribed therein, the National Bank of Nicaragua, Emission Department, shall pay at sight to the bearer, for this note, Ten Cordobas.
