Obverse description Portrait vignette of Omar el Mukhtar, the Libyan resistance leader, at left, rendered in intaglio against a green guilloche underprint. Arabic inscriptions at centre identify the issuing authority and denomination, with a decorative cartouche enclosing the value in large Arabic script. Denomination numeral '10' appears in ornate rosettes at all four corners, with serial number printed twice in Arabic-Indic and Western numerals.

Reverse description Central vignette of a hilltop fortress, identified by Arabic inscription as the Fortress of Tripoli (قلعة طرابلس), rising above a large crowd of figures gathered at its base, evoking a scene of national significance. The composition is framed by elaborate green guilloche borders with floral rosettes at the corners. English inscriptions at top read 'Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya / Central Bank of Libya', and denomination 'TEN DINARS' appears at bottom centre in a decorative panel with multicolour geometric motifs.
