Obverse description Central device features the Hawk of Quraish displayed as the coat of arms of the Federation of Arab Republics, rendered in fine detail with spread wings. The legend above in Arabic script reads the name of the Federation of Arab Republics, while the legend below identifies the Libyan Arab Republic. Both the Gregorian year (1975) and the Hijri year (1395) are inscribed in Arabic numerals flanking the central emblem.

Reverse description The denomination numeral '١٠' (10) in large Arabic script occupies the upper central field, with the unit name 'دراهم' (Dirhams) inscribed immediately below. Two crossed wheat ears spread diagonally in the lower central field, symbolising agricultural prosperity. The entire central device is enclosed within an elaborate geometric square frame rotated 45 degrees to form a star-point border, decorated with arabesques and foliate ornaments at each corner and midpoint. The outer rim is defined by a continuous beaded border encircling the design.
