Reverse description The reverse depicts two Baiji dolphins (Lipotes vexillifer) swimming beneath the waterline in the lower field, rendered in fine relief with characteristic elongated rostrums and small dorsal fins. Above the waterline, a detailed scene of a river vessel and a traditional Chinese pagoda complex evokes the Yangtze River habitat of this critically endangered freshwater dolphin. The legend BAIJI DOLPHIN arcs prominently along the upper border in bold stylized lettering, while the denomination 10 DOLLARS appears at the lower left and the date 1993 is inscribed along the bottom of the field.
