Obverse description Diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, as sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear on the truncation. The legend SAMOA 2017 curves along the upper field, flanked by decorative rule lines. Below the bust, the Samoan coat of arms is rendered in fine detail at center, flanked by the inscriptions 100g to the left and Ag999 to the right, all set within a gently concave field giving the coin its distinctive curved profile.

Reverse description An intricately detailed bird's-eye perspective view of the interior dome ceiling of the United States Capitol rotunda, rendered in high relief with the coin's curved surface accentuating the architectural depth. Concentric rings of coffered panels, ornamental pilasters, arched windows, and elaborate friezes radiate outward from a central oculus adorned with a wreath motif, faithfully reproducing Constantino Brumidi's decorative scheme. The inscription UNITED STATES CAPITOL appears in a cartouche at the upper register, while the denomination 10 DOLLARS is displayed in a corresponding panel at the lower register. The outermost border features a finely beaded rim encircling the entire composition. The antique finish accentuates every architectural detail, creating a remarkable trompe-l'oeil illusion of depth.
