Obverse description The obverse displays the official coat of arms of the Republic of the Marshall Islands at centre, depicting a spread eagle above a traditional Marshallese canoe sail and palm trees, with a radiant sun and crossed traditional implements in the upper field. The arms are enclosed within an inner border bearing the word SEAL on a ribbon at the base. The legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination $10 to the left and the date 1991 to the right. The Marshallese national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN curves along the lower periphery. The entire design is encircled by a decorative chain border.
