| Reverse description | Central device features an elaborate stylized tree or cross-form motif with radiating branches adorned with foliate and bird-like decorative elements, rendered in high artistic relief. At the center of the cross is a shield-shaped cartouche bearing the denomination X DUCAT. The fineness mark 980 appears in the lower field beneath the central device. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading AVORUM NON MORITURA VIRTUS in the upper arc and AUREUS MAGNUS in the lower arc, separated by small ornamental stops. |
