Obverse description Intaglio-printed note in blue tones on a light underprint with guilloche patterning at the margins. A three-quarter portrait of King Mswati III in traditional headgear occupies the left portion, with the national coat of arms — supported by a lion and elephant above the motto ribbon — at centre-bottom, and a vignette of the Central Bank of Swaziland headquarters to the right. Two facsimile signatures appear below the legal tender clause, attributed to the Minister for Finance and the Governor respectively.

The P#29 series was issued across a five-year window under two successive signature pairs, which means date-specific examples bearing the Sithole/Dlamini combination can be placed within a narrower window of the governor's tenure — useful for collectors working the signature variants. Oberthur's Rennes facility handled Swazi currency through much of this period, a longstanding relationship that predates Swaziland's switch to the emalangeni name in 1974.
