| Reverse description | A finely rendered left-facing draped bust of the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle occupies the central field, depicted in a classical sculptural style with wavy hair and a full beard rendered in high relief. The inscription ΑΡΙΣΤΟΤΕΛΗΣ (Aristotle) arcs along the upper left periphery, accompanied by his life dates 384-322 π.Χ. (BC). The date of issue, 2014, appears to the right of the bust, beside the mint mark of the National Mint of Greece. The design is framed by a continuous Greek key (meander) border at the rim, consistent with the obverse treatment, lending the issue a unified classical aesthetic. |
