| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait of Sándor Petőfi, the celebrated Hungarian poet and revolutionary figure, set within an oval guilloche vignette at right, inscribed PETŐFI SÁNDOR below. To the left, a large denomination numeral '10' is enclosed within an elaborate green guilloche rosette bearing an anti-counterfeiting legend around its border. The Hungarian state arms with red star appear centrally at the lower register, flanked by ornamental floral scrollwork, with the issuer inscription MAGYAR NEMZETI BANK and the date of issue printed across the centre field on a salmon-pink underprint. |
