Rwanda has issued a long-running series of fractional gold pieces under the Springbok branding, leveraging South Africa's most iconic antelope for a coin struck by an entirely different sovereign — a marketing arrangement that has little to do with Rwandan monetary history and everything to do with the global bullion novelty market. At 0.155 g, the gold content is negligible by any investment standard; these exist purely as collectibles.
