| Obverse description | A finely engraved vignette of a mangosteen branch with fruit and foliage is positioned to the left, set against a guilloche underprint in olive-green tones. The bilingual denomination TIEN GULDEN in Dutch and SEPOELOEH ROEPIAH in Malay is centred beneath the issuing authority's title DE JAVASCHE BANK at the top, with the promise-to-pay legends in both languages arranged below. Two manuscript signatures of the Secretaris and President appear beneath the central text, while the numeral 10 repeats in large format within an ornate geometric panel at the upper and lower right. |
