Additional information

Mordovia is a real federal subject of Russia, but it issues no currency — the Russian Federation's monetary authority rests solely with the Central Bank in Moscow. "Fantasy" issues purporting to represent Russian republics emerged in the early 2000s, produced speculatively for the collector market with no governmental sanction. Most were struck in private mints, likely in Eastern Europe.

There is no issuing authority, no legal tender status, and no circulation history for this piece.
