Obverse description Right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Margrethe II, wearing a tiara and a circular earring, engraved in a refined contemporary portrait style by Lis Nogel. The circular legend reads 'MARGRETHE II ♥ DANMARKS DRONNING' along the upper periphery, with the mint year '2011' inscribed in the lower field beneath the bust. The field is smooth, with the portrait occupying the central area of the flan in low relief.
