Børnenes Nationalbank — "The Children's National Bank" — was a Danish novelty issuer producing play currency intended for games and educational use. These pieces circulated only across kitchen tables and school desks, never through any formal monetary channel. The printing quality and format were deliberately modeled on contemporary Danish banknotes close enough to teach denomination recognition, but distinct enough to avoid any legal ambiguity around counterfeiting.
Collectible primarily as ephemera. Authentication is straightforward — the issuer name alone disqualifies any claim to official status.
