Obverse description Central field features a trident (trishula), the sacred symbol of Shiva, flanked by a sun to the right and a crescent moon to the left. The Devanagari legend 'Shri Mahendra Veer Vikram Shahdev' arcs around the upper periphery, with 'Nepal' inscribed below in Devanagari script. The Bikram Sambat date appears at the base of the design beneath the trident.

Reverse description The large numeral '10' rendered in Devanagari script occupies the central field, presented with internal hatching or shading for decorative effect and enclosed within an ornate cartouche formed by stylized floral and scroll flourishes. The Devanagari legend 'Shri Bhavani' curves along the upper periphery, invoking the goddess Bhavani. Below the central numeral, the denomination 'Das Paisa' (ten paisa) is inscribed in Devanagari script along the lower rim.
