| Reverse description | Central field bearing a three-line Arabic mint and date legend arranged in horizontal registers, recording the place of striking and the AH regnal year. The inscription is contained within a plain inner circle surrounded by a bold raised beaded border at the coin's periphery, consistent with the obverse. The crude, deeply struck calligraphic lettering is characteristic of the Tripoli West provincial hammered coinage of the late Ottoman period. Various mint control marks and regnal year variants are known for this type. |
