| Obverse description | An Andean condor in dynamic flight occupies the central field, depicted with wings fully spread and tail feathers fanned, the bird's head turned to the left. The engraver's signature R. THENOT appears in small characters at the base of the design. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE runs along the periphery, flanked by a beaded inner border. The composition is rendered in high relief with fine feather detailing, reflecting the artistic style of French engraver René Thénot. |
