Obverse description An Andean condor in dynamic flight occupies the central field, depicted with wings fully spread and tail feathers fanned, the bird's head turned to the left. The engraver's signature R. THENOT appears in small characters at the base of the design. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE runs along the periphery, flanked by a beaded inner border. The composition is rendered in high relief with fine feather detailing, reflecting the artistic style of French engraver René Thénot.

Reverse description The face value is displayed prominently in the central field in three lines: the numeral 10 at the top, followed by DIEZ PESOS, and UN CONDOR below. Two stylised wheat ears frame the denomination on either side, their stems meeting at the base to enclose the date. The Santiago mint mark (So) appears above the numeral 10 at the top of the field. The date is inscribed at the lower centre within the embrace of the wheat stalks, all set within a beaded border.
