| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms is displayed prominently in the centre of the field, featuring the characteristic shield divided into three quarters with a royal palm, a rising sun, and a key, surmounted by a Phrygian cap on a pole and flanked by an oak branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right. The legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 PESOS appears in the lower field. The silver purity and weight designations 1 OZ AG 0.999 are inscribed along the right side of the field. |

| Additional information |
Cuba issued a series of FIFA World Cup commemoratives well ahead of the 2006 Germany tournament, part of a broader hard-currency collecting program the Castro government ran through the 1990s and 2000s to generate foreign exchange. These coins were never intended for domestic circulation — the peso had no meaningful purchasing power in that economy, and silver .999 issues existed almost entirely for export sale to European and North American collectors through state dealers.
