| Obverse description | The Mexican national arms occupy the central field, depicting an eagle displayed facing left, perched upon a nopal cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, devouring a serpent clutched in its beak and right talon. The device is rendered in high relief against a frosted mirror field. A wreath of oak and laurel branches frames the lower portion of the design. The surrounding legend reads ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS, arcing along the upper rim in bold capital letters. |
