| Obverse description | The obverse is headed by the inscription CÉDULA HIPOTECARIA within a top panel, below which EL BANCO DE BOGOTÁ and PAGARÁ AL PORTADOR appear in bold letterpress. A circular vignette at left displays a double-headed eagle heraldic motif. The central field carries the denomination DIEZ PESOS ORO ACUÑADO in an ornate frame, flanked by numeral 10 counters in each corner, with two columns of text stating the amortization and interest conditions; a large guilloche diagonal watermark-style overprint reads CUATRO POR CIENTO across the centre. The note is identified as Serie Z with a printed serial number, and the imprint AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY appears at the bottom. |
