Obverse description The upper portion of the note is dominated by a large bold vignette of a Mecklenburg bull rendered in deep blue and violet against a vivid orange-red sky, with green foliage and farm buildings in the middle ground below. The denomination "ZEHN PFENNIG" appears at the top in large red display lettering of an expressionist character. The lower dark-blue panel carries a Low German verse praising Mecklenburg as a fine and rich land, followed by the validity inscription and the issuing authority "Rat der Stadt Güstrow i. M.", with a manuscript signature below.

Reverse description The upper portion presents a multicolour lithographic townscape vignette of Güstrow, with a tall brick church tower and red-roofed buildings rising above a belt of green trees, reflected in the calm water of a lake or river in the lower half of the design, rendered in soft pink, green, and blue tones. The denomination "ZEHN PFENNIG" is printed in pale ghost lettering across the top of the vignette. Below the waterline, a dark-blue panel carries the inscriptions identifying this note as "Reuter-Geld" of the city of Güstrow, with the city name set in large bold art-nouveau style type.
