| Obverse description | Central device depicts the national emblem of Bangladesh: a water lily (shapla) rising above stylised wavy lines representing rivers, flanked on either side by ascending sheaves of rice. Above the flower, four stars are arranged in an arc, with a jute plant motif at the apex between them. The entire central device is set within the scalloped coin field, with crescent-shaped decorative elements occupying each of the eight notches around the periphery. No legend appears on this face. |
