Reverse description The reverse carries a large engraved portrait vignette of Jane Austen at the centre-left, based on the watercolour by her sister Cassandra Austen, set before a background view of Godmersham Park. A secondary vignette at the upper left references a scene of a writing figure. The quotation 'I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading!' is inscribed below, with Austen's printed signature and the dates 'Jane Austen 1775–1817' in small italics. The oval security window at the right repeats the image of King Charles III and Winchester Cathedral within the Queen's Beast holographic element, with the '£10' numeral and 'Bank of England' legend in copper tones.
