| Obverse description | Central design features a bundle of rice stalks with full ears of grain, rendered in fine relief against an unadorned field — a motif issued in connection with the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) programme promoting agricultural development. The Burmese legend arcs along the upper and left periphery, reading 'Union of Myanmar National Bank' with the date 1983 inscribed to the right in Burmese numerals.
