| Obverse description | A central oval vignette of a tropical coastal scene with palm trees on a beach is set within a circular guilloche frame inscribed TREASURY NOTE, flanked at left and right by ornate letterpress denomination numerals reading 10/-. TEN SHILLINGS appears in large text below the central vignette, with the full territorial and legal tender legend arcing across the upper and lower margins. Two manuscript signatures at the lower edge identify the High Commissioner at left and the Financial Secretary of Western Samoa at right, with the place and date of issue reading Wellington December 22nd 1959. |
