Obverse lettering CENTRAL BANK OF MALTA THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR TEN SHILLINGS IN MALTA AND ITS DEPENDENCIES AND IS ISSUED UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF MALTA ACT, 1967.
Reverse description Printed in red on a light ground, the reverse carries a finely engraved intaglio vignette of Mġarr Harbour, Gozo, with traditional Maltese fishing vessels (luzzijiet) moored along the quayside and the hilltop church of Our Lady of Lourdes visible on the skyline above the town. The denomination numeral '10/-' appears at lower left.
