Obverse description Black intaglio print on multicolor underprint. Central vignette presents a seated Liberty figure with shield, flanked by a wreath over a column and pole surmounted by a Phrygian cap. The issuer name arches across the top, face value appears in large numerals at left and right, and the denomination in words is rendered in a panel below the central vignette.
