| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Vanuatu occupies the central field, depicting a Melanesian warrior in traditional dress standing upon a pig's tusk, holding an upright spear in his right hand, with two crossed namele fern fronds behind him and a circular motif in the background. A ribbon scroll beneath the central device bears the Bislama motto LONG GOD YUMI STANAP.
