| Additional information |
Vanuatu has no dinosaur fossil record whatsoever. The triceratops lived in what is now western North America, extinct roughly 66 million years before Vanuatu's volcanic islands finished forming. This coin exists purely as a bullion collectible marketed to thematic series buyers, issued under the Reserve Bank's authority but bearing no meaningful relationship to Vanuatu's history, economy, or natural heritage. The 155-gram format places it squarely in the large-format silver bullion category that Pacific island nations have increasingly licensed to private minting programs since the 2010s.
