The Sociedade Numismática Paranaense issued this note to mark the club's 25th anniversary — a commemorative fantasy piece rather than any form of legal tender. The Araucária denomination is a regional conceit, named after the Araucaria pine native to Paraná state, giving the series an identity rooted in local geography rather than national monetary history.
First-print status matters here. SNP commemoratives are produced in deliberately small runs, and first-print designations typically carry lower serial numbers and occasionally differ in ink saturation from subsequent printings. Fagner Maximo da Silveira handled the design work.
