| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Panama is prominently displayed in the central field, featuring the quartered shield with symbols of the nation including crossed swords and rifles, a cornucopia, a winged wheel, and a sea passage flanked by two tall-masted ships, all surmounted by an eagle with outstretched wings and a scroll bearing the national motto PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO.
