| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of the Republic of Mali occupies the central field, depicting a stylised Sudano-Sahelian mosque (Great Mosque of Djenné) flanked by crossed bow and arrow and a spear over a radiating sun, with a flying vulture displayed above.
