Reverse description A frontal view of the Brandenburg Gate is depicted in the central field, its six Doric columns and entablature rendered in fine engraved detail, with the Quadriga visible atop the attic. Flanking the base of the gate on either side are sections of the Berlin Wall shown in a broken and partially demolished state, symbolising the fall of the Wall. The legend BERLIN arcs prominently along the upper rim, and the commemorative date range 1989-2014 appears in the lower field.
