| Reverse description | A partially colorized depiction of a cascading waterfall is centered within a blue circular field, rendered in vivid blue tones to highlight the flowing water and rocky landscape. The legend PLANET EARTH · WATER arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, while the weight, fineness, and date inscription 1/2 G .9999 FINEST GOLD 2017 appears along the lower portion of the design. The colorized central motif contrasts with the polished gold border surrounding the blue circle. |

| Additional information |
Niger issued this piece as part of a broader series of fractional gold coins produced for the collectibles market rather than domestic circulation — the country abandoned the CFA franc's physical coinage infrastructure decades ago and has no meaningful domestic gold minting tradition of its own. Production was almost certainly contracted to a European private mint, as is standard for these sub-Saharan nominal issues.
KM#69 is a collector instrument, full stop. Its legal tender status under Niger's nominal authority is a technicality of international numismatic marketing.
