(Translation: The Javasche Bank Pay to the Bearer Hundred Gulden Batavia February 9, 1938)
Reverse description The reverse is printed in multicolor and dominated by a large, intricate central guilloche rosette in red, green, and dark tones, surrounded by elaborate Javanese-style decorative architectural frames. Anti-counterfeiting legal text panels appear in four languages — Dutch, Javanese (in Javanese script), Chinese, and Malay (in Jawi script) — arranged symmetrically to the left and right of the central vignette. The bank name "DE JAVASCHE BANK" is inscribed in bold lettering along the lower central register, flanked by denomination numerals "100" at each corner and small mythological animal vignettes.
