Obverse description At left, a finely engraved vignette in intaglio presents terraced rice fields set against a mountainous background with village structures in the foreground. The central and right portions carry the bank title and bilingual denomination text in bold letterpress, in both Dutch and Malay, with a large guilloche numeral panel at upper right. Two manuscript signatures appear below centre, captioned SECRETARIS and PRESIDENT respectively, with the year date 1946 at lower right.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by an elaborate central guilloche composition of concentric arched bands surrounding the interlaced monogram 'JB' at centre. Rectangular panels of bilingual legal tender text in Dutch and Malay occupy the upper left and upper right quadrants, while a column of Chinese-script legal text appears at lower right. Guilloche rosette underprints in blue anchor the upper corners, each accompanied by the numeral 100.
