At the top centre, a portrait vignette of King Oscar II in admiral uniform; below, the statutory text and denomination in the centre field, flanked on the left by the arms of Christiania, Bergen and Hamar, and on the right by the arms of Trondheim, Kristiansand and Tromsø. The crowned coat of arms of Norway occupies the lower centre. |

A large open-work numeral '100' dominates the centre field, interspersed with the word KRONER. A left-side medallion contains a bust portrait of a Viking king, while a right-side medallion bears the crowned lion coat of arms of Norway. A perforated printer's imprint reading 'B.W. & Co LONDON' appears in the lower centre field. |
