Obverse description Upper left bears the denomination numeral '100' within an elaborate dark guilloché panel, with the Gothic-script bank title 'Sveriges Riksbank' running across the upper portion. A multicolour guilloché underprint fills the centre, overlaid in intaglio with the denomination legend 'Ett Hundra Kronor'. To the lower right, a finely line-engraved intaglio vignette presents Svea, the allegorical female personification of Sweden, seated beside a lion and holding a shield.

Reverse description The central field is occupied by a large intaglio portrait vignette of King Gustav Vasa, a bearded figure in a fur-trimmed hat, set within an oval frame of fine guilloché scrollwork. An elaborate diamond-shaped guilloché border surrounds the medallion, incorporating floral rosettes at each corner and the denomination numeral '100' on either side. The bank name and denomination inscriptions are woven into the guilloché framework above and below the central portrait.
