(Translation: 100 MARKS IN SILVER In exchange of this banknote the Bank of Finland will pay on demand the sum of One Hundred Marks in silver.)
Reverse description The back is printed in pink and centres on a vignette of the southern harbour of Helsinki surmounted by a grand-ducal crown. The denomination in words appears in Russian at centre, flanked on each side by a large numeral 100, with the promise text rendered in Finnish at left and Russian at right. A tri-lingual forgery warning — in Finnish at lower left, Swedish at lower centre, and Russian at lower right — runs along the bottom margin.
Reverse lettering СТО МРКЬ СЕРЕБРОМЪ Tästä setelistä maksaa Suomenmaan Pankki vaadittaissa SATA markkaa hopeassa. Предъяьителю сего Финляндскій Банкъ ьыдаетъ СТО маркъ серебромъ. Tämän Setelin väärentäminen tahi muukaaminen, kiun myöskin semmosen rahan kauppaaminen, rangaistaan Marraskuun 2 (14) päivänä 1812 annetun Keisarillisen asetuksen jälkeen.
(Translation: ONE HUNDRED MARKS IN SILVER [Cursive text at top, in Finnish and Russian] From this banknote, the Bank of Finland will pay, on demand, ONE HUNDRED marks in silver.
