| Obverse description | Central field bears an ornate Ottoman-style Arabic calligraphic legend reading 'Jumhuriyat Turkiyah' (Republic of Turkey) with the Hijri date 1341 inscribed within the script. A stylised crescent motif formed by a curved wheat ear and a curved leaf or reed sprig arches across the upper and right portions of the field, framing the calligraphy. The entire design is enclosed within a fine inner beaded border running along the coin's circumference. |

The 100 Para was struck during the earliest years of the Turkish Republic, when Ankara was methodically dismantling Ottoman monetary conventions and building a new currency identity from scratch. These transitional issues preceded the formal lira system's consolidation and circulated alongside older Ottoman coinage still in public hands — an awkward overlap the new government was eager to resolve.
