Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic Tughra of Sultan Mahmud II, flanked by a floral ornament to the right, all contained within a plain beaded inner circle. The outer border features a decorative ring of alternating rosettes and geometric motifs. The die-struck design is characteristic of Ottoman provincial hammered coinage, with the Tughra rendered in bold relief against an unadorned field.
